HEAT TREAT

U.S. Gear's heat treat processes are controlled using state of the art programmable controllers and data acquisition systems. Tight process control and repeatability are critical in the manufacturing of high quality products.

Our heat treat capabilities include batch and continuous carburizing with integral quench or press quenching. In addition, we offer a variety of processes including induction hardening / tempering, normalizing and shot peening. We have a fully staffed metallurgical lab to support our processing and customer requirements.

Our equipment capabilities include:

Continuous Pusher Furnaces (controlled atmosphere)
Up to 3 rows and 500 pounds per tray per row.
Capable of carburizing with integral quench and
press / plug quenching, carbonitriding and neutral hardening

Continuous Normalizer (no atmosphere)
Normalize and Temper, Isothermal Anneal
Capable of processing 2800 pounds per hour.

Batch Furnaces (controlled atmosphere)
Capable of processing up to 5000 pounds per load.
Capable of atmosphere normalize, anneal, carburizing,
carbonitriding, neutral hardening and carbon restoration.

Gleason Press Quenching Machines
