A very simple modification was made to the polyethylene fuel tank.  Hurricane Custom Power in Tulsa, Oklahoma, simply cut off one end and a flat plastic plate was glued in place.  The tank cannot be moved back because it reaches all the way to the rear end housing.  Since shortening the tank is a relatively simple operation, any local company that can "plastic weld" your tank modification will be suitable.
