"Shift" Back to the Basics!

V2OD cutaway.jpg (274944 bytes)U.S. Gear's performance edge has been honed again with the release of the new V2OD performance overdrives in January, 2001.  We are now proudly introducing our new gear driven (of course) overdrive to the hot rodding / pro street market.

Our goal has been achieved by keeping things simple for you.  We have shifted back to the basic way of life when electronics were few and dependability was taken for granted.  The unique cable shifted design accomplishes the transition from direct to overdrive without all of the wiring, timers, and relays needed on other overdrives.

A 20% reduction of RPMs is enough for some of the cars on the road, but if a performance ratio is in the back, we suggest our optional 30% overdrive.  This option will transform even the lowest of ratios into a driving pleasure without sacrificing your performance.

United States Gear Corporation has been manufacturing OEM and performance gear sets in the U.S.A. for almost 40 years.  Our V2OD overdrives reflect the U.S. made strength, quality, and dependability we know you will enjoy!

(The V2OD's are not intended for R.V. or towing applications.  Check the Dual Range if you need overdrive or underdrive assistance for towing.)

Finally, U.S. Gear introduces an economical way to reduce your engine RPMs when cruising town to town yet retaining that low rear end ratio when you get there.  Specifically designed for Street Rods and Pro-Street vehicles, the V2OD simply replaces the automatic transmission's tailhousing.  Then, with the pull of a handle, your 4.88 rear end gear becomes a 3.41 ratio, saving that high horsepower motor and 114 octane gas for when you need it!   Our V2OD Overdrive unit has the highest torque capacity of any product in this market.
