4.11 Gears + V2OD Overdrive = One Happy Owner!
Chuck decided he needed an overdrive to drive his Galaxie 500 to the Woodward Dream Cruise. Here's what Chuck has to say about the car and the overdrive... "I bought the car off of ebay with 88000 miles on it, all stock with a 352 cu in engine. I'm the second owner. My original intent was just to "fix a few little things" and drive it. Well, if you're a car nut, you know how quickly things can get out of hand. Out went the 352 and in went the aluminum head 466, along with a built C 6, 4:11 gears, Griffin radiator and more. While the car was always fun to drive I have a 39 mile one way drive to work, mostly 65 plus mph freeway, and with the 4:11 rear it was screaming. The V2OD Overdrive now makes it much more enjoyable."
1965 Galaxie 500 Chuck says, "NO cutting of the tunnel would have been needed, just a simple bolt in. But the engine swap mounts actually raises the 460 in a Galaxie, which made the cutting of the tunnel necessary." In the straight-on photo of the dash, you can see the cable shifter installed to the left of the gauges.
